As promised in today’s episode of The CMajor Radio Show After-Show, CMajor is posting/sharing the following homework for teachers:
- 15th Annual Russian Music Competition 2018 – all instruments, vocalists
- Teachers, please have your dues ($25.00) up to date (deadline September 30th)
- Students (age 5-18) can participate in only one category (solo or duet)
- All selected performers will participate in a Winners Concert – Carnegie Hall, NY
- Students must buy a package of tickets (no limit to number of additional tickets)
- Repertoire: One selection (original) of any Russian-Soviet composer (imslp.org – FREE music) performed from memory (NO long Repeats, please)
- Early level, up to 3 minutes; Intermediate, up to 4 minutes; Advanced level, average time up to 6 minutes; Increased time, 6 minutes up to maximum 10 minutes (special concert fee)
- The performer must have sheet music (original or copy) for the judges; a written evaluation will be provided for the students.
- Once selected as a winner, it is recommended that the winner will perform at the winners concert. Failure to attend the concert will result in the performer not being allowed to participate in future competitions.
- Application must be postmarked by September 30, 2018. (Please type and print from web.)
- Application and concert Fees include: Solo, up to 6 minutes (ONLY) or less $80 (NON-REFUNDABLE) and a separate check from parents in the amount of $275 – Winner’s Fee; Solo, 6 minutes up to maximum 10 minutes $80 (NON-REFUNDABLE) and a separate check from parents in the amount of $350 – Winner’s Fee; Duets, up to 6 minutes (ONLY) or less $50/per student (NON-REFUNDABLE) and a separate check from parents in the amount of $400 ($200/per student) – duet fee/Winner’s Fee
- Please note that students who are not selected for the Winners Concert, the check for the concert fee will be returned immediately to parents
